YES to televise a record 27 New York Liberty games this season

First YES telecast is May 13 against Indiana

May 6, 2022 – The YES Network will televise a record 27 New York Liberty games this season, the first being Friday, May 13 (8 p.m. ET), when the Liberty host Indiana. All of YES’ 27 Liberty telecasts will also be streamed live on the YES App. Michael Grady, Chris Shearn and Zora Stephenson will share play-by-play duties, Andraya Carter and Julianne Viani-Braen will rotate in the analyst role, and Jess Sims will be the sideline reporter for select games. This is YES’ fourth season as the Liberty’s exclusive regional TV partner.

Under the guidance of new head coach Sandy Brondello, the Liberty return Betnijah Laney and Natasha Howard, both of whom averaged more than 16 points a game last season, as well as Sabrina Ionescu, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft, 2021 WNBA Rookie of the Year Michaela Onyenwere and Didi Richards, who earned a spot on the 2021 WNBA All-Rookie Team. Sami Whitcomb, who along with Ionescu averaged more than 11 points a game last year, also returns. Additionally, the Liberty will welcome New York native and 2021 WNBA Champion center, Stefanie Dolson.
