More than 10,000 Bronx public school students from Districts 7-12 to participate in a pregame program to celebrate academic excellence; Aaron Judge, Brian Cashman, Aaron Boone and dignitaries from NYC public schools to address students

The New York Yankees have again partnered with New York City Public Schools to host Bronx Education All-Star Day on Thursday, May 23, at Yankee Stadium. The event celebrates students’ academic excellence, community service and leadership with an exclusive in-Stadium program prior to gates opening for fans. Programming will run from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with more than 10,000 Bronx Public School students seated in the Stadium’s bowl.

Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, Senior Vice President & General Manager Brian Cashman and Manager Aaron Boone, among others, are scheduled to speak to the students. The event will be hosted by Yankees Spanish-language broadcaster Rickie Ricardo.

Following the program, the students will then be guests of the Yankees for their 12:35 p.m. game vs. Seattle. Additionally, students, teachers and representatives from NYC Public Schools will be seated in the Judge’s Chambers.

Bronx Education All-Star Day is designed to motivate and enhance the educational experience for 5th through 8th grade students attending Bronx-based schools in Districts 7-12. It also serves to recognize their accomplishments from the current school year in areas relating to leadership, academics, community service and teamwork. This year’s program marks the fifth edition of the initiative.
