Coming off a 5-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, the New York Yankees made an assortment of roster moves before Sunday's series finale.

The team placed lefty reliever Stephen Tarpley on the 10-day injured list with a left elbow impingement. Tarpley walked four and gave up two runs over 2 1/3 innings in Saturday's loss.
Tarpley, in his second season, has an 8.24 ERA over 16 appearances.
The Yankees also optioned infielder Breyvic Valera to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
To fill those roster spots, the Yankees summoned righthander Brady Lail and lefthander Joe Mantiply from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Lail, 26, is still waiting to make his major league debut after eight seasons in the minors.
Mantiply, 28, made five appearances with the Detroit Tigers in 2016, posting a 16.88 ERA over 2 2/3 innings of relief.
In an unrelated move, slugger Giancarlo Stanton was moved to the 60-day injured list.
