Yankees go down in extras against Blue Jays

TORONTO -- Aaron Judge’s pursuit of 61 home runs and a potential clinch of the American League East must both wait for at least one more day.

With the bubbly on ice, Judge was kept in the ballpark for a sixth consecutive game, and Clarke Schmidt surrendered a walk-off single to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as the Yankees fell to the Blue Jays, 3-2, in 10 innings on Monday night at Rogers Centre.

The Bombers’ magic number to secure their first AL East title since 2019 remains at two.
