Jeremy Lin is on the move again.
The Brooklyn Nets traded the oft-traveled point guard to the Atlanta Hawks, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday night. According to the report, the Hawks will send the Nets a 2020 second-round pick originally from Portland and the rights to 2016 second-round pick Isaia Cordinier, who to date has remained in his native France.
Along with Lin, the Nets will give the Hawks a 2025 second-round pick and the right to swap picks in 2023, per to the report.
The Nets weren't done there, either. According to Wojnarowski, the team also worked a deal with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, receiving forwards Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur, a 2019 protected first-round pick and a 2020 second-round pick in exchange for guard Isaiah Whitehead. According to the report, the Nuggets will waive Whitehead.
Lin, headed to his seventh NBA team as he prepares to enter his ninth season, now joins a roster that includes two notable point guards, No. 5 overall pick Trae Young and veteran Dennis Schroder. According to Wojnarowski, however, league sources said they expect the Hawks to now trade Schroder this offseason.
Lin, 29, played in only one game last season with Brooklyn, sustaining a season-ending ruptured patellar tendon on opening night. He had averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 assists over 36 games in the 2016-17 season for the Nets and carries a $12.5 million salary-cap hit on his expiring contract.
As for the other deal, the Nuggets freed up $21 million in salary and potentially save $43 million in payroll and luxury tax next season, Wojnarowski reported.
Faried, 28, played in 32 games (seven starts) for Denver last season, averaging 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.
Arthur, 30, got in just 30 contests in 2017-18, making one start. He produced 2.8 points in 7.4 minutes per game.
Whitehead, 23, averaged 6.3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 16 games off the Brooklyn bench last season.
