Yankees trade right-handed pitcher Carlos Carrasco to Braves

The New York Yankees announced Monday that they have traded right-handed pitcher Carlos Carrasco to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash considerations.

Carrasco, 38, went 2-2 with a 5.91 ERA (32.0IP, 39H, 21R/ER, 10BB, 25K, 7HR) in eight games (six starts) with the Yankees in 2025. In 11 games (10 starts) with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season, he went 4-2 with a 3.27 ERA (52.1IP, 47H, 22R/19ER, 14BB, 38K, 4HR). Over parts of 16 Major League seasons with Cleveland (2009-11, ’13-20, ‘24), the New York Mets (2021-23) and the Yankees (2025), Carrasco has gone 112-105 with two saves, 11 complete games (four shutouts) and a 4.18 ERA (1,673.2IP, 1,651H, 817R/777ER, 461BB, 1,687K, 218HR) in 332 games (283 starts).
