Love him or hate him, Tom Brady has officially cemented himself as one of the greatest athletes in American history after adding a seventh Super Bowl victory to his career résumé.
Brady will likely go down as the best quarterback in NFL history after all he’s accomplished in his 21 seasons in the league, but where do his seven titles put him amongst the greatest athletes in other sports? Next to a whole lot of New York Yankees (and Celtics and Canadiens).
Bill Russell (NBA) and Henri Richard (NHL) top the all-time list with 11 career titles apiece, but as one reads through the course of the most accomplished champions in history, it’s easy to notice how many Yankees make the cut.
Check out the full list below to see where both Brady and the bevy of New York Yankees all slot in among the greatest champions in sports history.

The championship dynasties of the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Celtics and New York Yankees are well represented in the list above, but Brady’s ability to win at the highest level even into his 40s playing the toughest position in sports remains a remarkable achievement.
Is there any chance the NFL’s G.O.A.T. will try to climb further up this list with yet another improbable title run in years to come? You bet.
“We’re coming back,” Brady confirmed shortly after his win over Kansas City. "Yeah, we're coming back."
Brady will be 44 years old next season as he looks to bring his career title tally to eight, but even if he gets there he’ll still be looking up at Yogi and Joltin’ Joe.
