YES to host special two-night television event, four-part 'Yankeeography: History of the Yankees' series

New fourth installment premiering July 19 covers the Core Four, 2009 World Series Championship, 2016-2017 youth influx, the arrival of Boone and Stanton, and more

The event culminates at 8:00pm ET July 19th when YES premieres the fourth and latest installment of the series. This new episode opens appropriately enough with Aaron Boone's momentous game-winning home run against Boston in the 2003 post-season and subsequently highlights the years 2004-2017.

The show spans the sustained excellence, retirement and honoring of the Core Four, individual player milestones and farewells, the 2009 World Series championship, the 2016-17 youth influx and the arrival of Giancarlo Stanton, and comes full circle with the return of Boone as manager of the Bronx Bombers.   

The July 19th special features interviews with Brian Cashman, Michael Kay, David Cone, Jack Curry, John Flaherty, Meredith Marakovits, Paul O'Neill, Ken Singleton, Derek Jeter and Andy Pettitte.

YES' four-part Yankeeography: History of the Yankees series, hosted and narrated by John Sterling, provides a thorough overview of the world's most storied sports franchise, including interviews with and highlights of the greatest names to don the pinstripes.

The first two installments will air on Wednesday, July 18th and the third episode will air on Thursday, July 19th immediately prior to the premiere that evening of the fourth and latest installment.

Highlights of Yankeeography: History of the Yankees: 2004-2017
- Just one year after Derek Jeter so eloquently addressed the crowd after the final game at the old Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Bombers rode the heroics of Jeter, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, Alex Rodriguez, Hideki Matsui, CC Sabathia, Johnny Damon and others in 2009 to win the franchise's 27th World Series title. 
- Historic moments and achievements are revisited here, including Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit, Mariano Rivera's becoming the all-time career saves leader, Jeter's and Rivera's last home games and more.
- The welcoming of Jeter, Pettitte, Paul O'Neill, Tino Martinez and Mariano Rivera to Monument Park.
- The special covers the eventful tenure of Alex Rodriguez in pinstripes: his post-season coming out party in 2009, his 600th home run and 3,000th hit, his suspension from MLB, and more.
- The chronicling of the passing of George M. Steinbrenner, along with the deaths of Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra, Bobby Murcer, Gene Michael and Bob Sheppard.
- The managerial transitions from Joe Torre to Joe Girardi, and from Joe Girardi to Aaron Boone.
- The introduction of new fan favorites such as Masahiro Tanaka, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Luis Severino and New York's surprising run to within one game of the 2017 World Series.
- The acquisition of 2017 National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton.
