For the fourth time in team history, the Y-D Red Sox are hosting the Cape Cod League All-Star Festivities! The game will occur on July 19, 2025, at historic Red-Wilson Field. The festivities include the All-Star game between the Eastern and Western divisions, an electric Home Run Derby, and opportunities for fans to get autographs from their favorite players!
The 2024 All-Star weekend had two familiar faces take home hardware. Y-D slugger Ethan Petry won the Home Run Derby, and catcher Easton Carmichael won the Eastern Division MVP award. Falmouth hosted the 2024 festivities, featuring an exciting showdown in which the Eastern stars won 9-8.
The Western Division stars will look to claim their first-ever victory at Red-Wilson Field, currently holding a 0-2-1 record when the Y-D Red Sox are hosts. The first matchup in Yarmouth-Dennis took place in 1996, where the two sides battled towards a 6-6 tie. 10 years later, outfielder Antone DeJesus and first baseman Josh Satin slugged their Eastern Division squad to a 7-2 victory, combining for five RBIs in the 2006 showdown.
Red-Wilson Field most recently hosted the All-Star game in 2013, with 4,217 fans in attendance as the Eastern Division beat the Western Division 9-3. J.D. Davis, who has since played eight years in Major League Baseball, was named the MVP of that year’s game. Davis, currently in the Angels' minor league system, has earned 6.9 fWAR in his career, hitting 72 home runs in 641 games. During the 2013 All-Star Game, he had a home run and a double after coming off the bench.
