NEW YORK – June 10, 2023 – The New York Liberty will celebrate their annual PRIDE Game on Sun., June 11 when the team takes on the Dallas Wings in Brooklyn at 1 p.m. EST. The game will commemorate PRIDE and the LGBTQIA+ community through pre and postgame events, performances and more. Shady Grove Fertility (SGF) New York will be a presenting partner of the game, bringing awareness to the many options available for LGBTQIA+ couples and individuals for growing their families.
Programming is headlined by a pre-game performance from Moulin Rouge! The Musical and house and pop recording artist Chelley will perform at halftime. The Liberty and SGF will also team up for a donation presentation to Family Equality, a local non-profit organization that has made it their mission to ensure that everyone has the freedom to find, form, and sustain their families by advancing equality for the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, the first 2,000 guests in attendance will receive an exclusive commemorative PRIDE visor on gameday and a special edition Liberty “Light It Up for PRIDE” t-shirt will be available for purchase at Brooklyn Fanatics located on the main concourse.
Leading into Sunday’s game, the Liberty organization will be represented at multiple NYC-based Pride events on Sat., June 10 including Brooklyn Pride and a community clinic in the Bronx for 50 participants. Later this month, the Liberty will be supporting Brooklyn Pride’s Youth Pride event on Saturday, June 17 and the annual NYC PrideFest on Sunday, June 25.
