TAMPA, Florida -- Brett Gardner, the last remaining link to the Yankees’ most recent World Series championship team, is keeping his pinstripes.

The Yankees have reunited with their longest-tenured player, agreeing to terms Friday on a one-year contract worth at least $4 million, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The deal, which includes player and team options for the 2022 season, has not been confirmed by the club.

Asked about Gardner’s status earlier this week, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said: “You never know what can happen or transpire, but we'll see. Obviously, he's been a great Yankee, and we'll just see how things unfold here.”
