As a result of the withdrawal of FC Dallas and Nashville SC, Major League Soccer has reconfigured the groups into six groups, each consisting of four teams, as well as an update to the qualification for the knockout stage.
New York City FC will remain in Group A, but their third opponent, Chicago Fire FC, has been moved to Group B.
NYCFC will now play Inter Miami CF in their final group stage match on Monday, July 20, at 9 a.m. ET (ESPN/ESPN Deportes).
Additionally, the club's second group stage match against Orlando City SC will remain on Tuesday, July 14, but has been moved to 8 p.m. ET.
After 16 consecutive days of group stage matches, the top two teams from each group along with the four best third-place finishers will move on to the knockout stage, which begins July 25.
