The New York Liberty selected University of Louisville guard Asia Durr (AKA Nite Nite) second overall in the first round of the 2019 WNBA Draft.

Despite having her rookie campaign cut short by injury, Durr was still able to prove why she is one of the most elite rookies in the league. Averaging 9.7 points per game and earning a spot in the team's starting lineup, Durr began her inaugural season and WNBA career strongly.

The Georgia native and rookie starter showcased her skills most notably on June 20, when she dropped 20 points (10-16 FG) in the Liberty win over the Minnesota Lynx. One week later, Durr followed up her career-high performance with a 19-point night in Chicago, where she shot 3-3 from beyond the arc.
