Scouting reports saw potential in Derek Jeter

It was Yankees scout Dick Groch who famously answered concerns in the team's draft room that a young shortstop named Derek Jeter might be headed to Michigan by saying, "The only place he's going is to Cooperstown."

But Groch was hardly alone among scouts in admiring the talents of the young phenom, as these unearthed scouting reports can attest.
