Brooklyn Nets sign Grant Nelson

BROOKLYN (Oct. 15, 2025) – The Brooklyn Nets have signed forward Grant Nelson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Nelson (6’11”, 230) spent the last two seasons (2023-25) at the University of Alabama, where he averaged 11.7 points on 50.5 percent shooting from the field, 6.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks in 25.5 minutes per contest across 74 games (71 starts). The 23-year-old helped lead the Crimson Tide to the Elite Eight last season as a graduate student after earning a spot on the 2024 NCAA West Region All-Tournament Team the previous season in Alabama’s first-ever trip to the Final Four. The Devils Lake, N.D., native previously played three seasons (2020-23) at North Dakota State University, where he garnered First Team All-Summit League honors as a junior. Most recently, Nelson was a member of Brooklyn’s 2025 NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas and appeared in all five games (three starts), averaging 6.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 19.1 minutes per game while shooting 57.9 percent from the field.
