New York Yankees-Chicago White Sox postponed due to air quality issues

Major League Baseball announced the postponements of tonight’s scheduled games between the Detroit Tigers and the host Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park (originally scheduled for 6:05 p.m. ET) and the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium (originally scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET). These postponements were determined following conversations throughout the day with medical and weather experts and all of the impacted Clubs regarding clearly hazardous air quality conditions in both cities.

The Phillies-Tigers game will be made up at 6:05 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, when both Clubs had been scheduled to be off. The Yankees and the White Sox will now play a traditional doubleheader beginning at 4:05 p.m. (ET) on Thursday.
