The Baseball Writers' Association of America has officially released the full ballot for the 2022 Hall of Fame class, and a number of former New York Yankees will be up for consideration.

The results of this year's election will be announced on January 25, with induction weekend scheduled to take place in Cooperstown, N.Y., on July 24, 2022.

Last year no new candidates reached the necessary 75% of votes to receive induction, however the year before saw the enshrinement of longtime Yankees legend Derek Jeter, as well as Marvin Miller, Ted Simmons and Larry Walker.

In total, 30 players will be vying for votes on the 2022 ballot, including seven former Yankees players. Making their ballot debuts this year are Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira, while five others – Bobby Abreu, Roger Clemens (final year of eligibility), Andruw Jones, Andy Pettitte and Gary Sheffield – return for another vote.
