Vice President, Creative Services

(New York City/Stamford, Conn.)

The YES Network, the #1 Regional Sports Network in the country, seeks a Vice President, Creative Services to join its creative team. The Vice President, Creative Services is the brand ambassador for the YES Network, responsible for overseeing the YES Creative Agency, supporting production, advertising and affiliate sales, the YES App, digital and Executive departments with agency level creative. The person will deliver compelling and consistent on-air promotions; for developing and executing marketing campaigns and for supporting advertising and affiliate sales. This position reports to the CEO of YES Network and will spend time in both the Corporate NYC office as well the studio in Stamford.   • Ensure our marketing messaging and materials are world-class, through consistent design, music as well as overall look and feel.
  • Oversees the creation of print, radio and outdoor creative design, media buys and media placement, as well as on-site event promotion of the network. Write and produce external media for TV, print and radio. Negotiate and post trade deals.
  • Create weekly media plans. Work directly with the Traffic department. Manages trafficking and strategic placement of on-air promos and drop-ins
  • Collaborate with YES On-Air Promos departments to produce promos that are synergistic and that ensures maintenance of a cohesive brand identify on and off the air.
  • Create and execute all corporate and client events and travel
  • Put in place a long-term strategic marketing plan that will facilitate the direction and goals of YES Network
  • Develop annual master creative services plan for all sports teams: Yankees, Nets, NYCFC and NY Liberty. Set objectives and manage accordingly
  • Develop creative solutions for corporate campaigns and presentations for use in sales presentations and recaps, team presentations. (ie. PowerPoint decks and sizzle reels)
  • Lead and develop team
  • Work closely with ad sales on sponsorship activation

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications/Marketing or related area. A minimum 10 years' experience in TV/cable/media creative services management is necessary. Previous experience as a writer/producer and prior management experience is also required
  • Superior oral and written communication and negotiation/influencing skills are required
  • Minimal accounting skills needed with ability to manage a budget
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is necessary. Knowledge of the latest graphics and editing hardware (AVID) and software is needed
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain successful internal and external business relationships is paramount
  • Superior organizational and project management skills are needed. A working knowledge of and passion for sports including MLB, NBA, MLS and WNBA is preferred
  • Excellent judge of talent and developer of people
  • Must be goal oriented, flexible and creative under pressure, often while juggling several projects at once
