Production Assistant

The YES Network, the #1 Regional Sports Network in the country, seeks a passionate and motivated Production Assistant to join the team in our Stamford, CT location. Under producer supervision, this position will be involved in all aspects of in the production of YES programming. Duties include editing highlights, teases, features and team-related initiatives; gathering show elements; and shooting ENG projects; condensing tapes and logging contents for storage.   • Edit highlights, teases, features and gather show elements.
  • Work with producers in studio and edit room to assemble items and organize elements.
  • Assists in organization of production plans and materials.
  • Gather and log elements, video, music, interviews and highlights.
  • May arrange media storage.
  • Field produce for special projects.
  • Participates in meetings and conference calls related to the above duties.


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ Years' experience in sports TV production and/or technical operations.
  • Familiarity with remote production, studio and post-production facilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
  • Good organizational and project management skills are necessary.
  • Must show an ability to work well with team partners, producers and other colleagues.
  • A demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision in a high-pressure environment is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
  • Understanding of linear and non-linear editing equipment is required.
  • Knowledge of broadcast sports is a plus.
  • The ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays is necessary.
