BROOKLYN (July 2, 2026) – The Brooklyn Nets have signed guard Mikel Brown Jr., the sixth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, to a multi-year contract and forward Tyler Bilodeau, the 43rd overall pick, to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not released.
Brown (6’4”, 190) spent one season at the University of Louisville (2025-26), appearing in 21 total games (19 starts) with averages of 18.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.2 steals on 41.0 percent shooting from the field, 34.4 percent from 3-point territory and 84.4 percent from the free-throw line in 29.0 minutes per game. The Orlando, Fla., native earned All-ACC Third Team honors in his lone season with the Cardinals while also earning a spot on the ACC All-Rookie Team and made history on Feb. 9 when he broke the ACC freshman single-game scoring record with 45 points against NC State while tying Louisville’s program record in points and 3-pointers made (10).
Bilodeau (6’7”, 228) played four collegiate seasons for Oregon State (2022-24) and UCLA (2024-26), and held career averages of 13.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.6 steals in 26.5 minutes across 128 contests (108 starts). The 22-year-old held career shooting rates of 50.6 percent from the floor, 40.0 percent from 3-point distance and 80.7 percent from the free throw line, including a 43.8 percent 3-point rate as a Bruin. A two-time All-Big Ten Third Team selection with UCLA, Bilodeau led the Big Ten by shooting 46.4 percent from 3-point territory last season, which was the highest 3-point rate of any player selected in the 2026 NBA Draft.
