Brooklyn Nets waive Drew Timme and Dariq Whitehead

BROOKLYN (Oct. 13, 2025) – The Brooklyn Nets have requested waivers on forward Drew Timme and guard Dariq Whitehead.

Timme signed a multi-year contract with the Nets on March 28, 2025. He saw action in nine games (two starts) for Brooklyn during the 2024-25 campaign, posting averages of 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 28.2 minutes per game.

Whitehead was originally selected by Brooklyn with the 22nd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He appeared in 20 games for the Nets during the 2024-25 season, averaging 5.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per game. In 22 career games across two seasons (2023-25) for Brooklyn, Whitehead holds averages of 5.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per contest.
