Jets' Po'uha could miss rest of preseason
CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) -- Jets nose tackle Sione Po'uha says he expects he could miss the rest of the preseason with a stiff back, but is confident he will play in the regular-season opener against Buffalo on Sept. 9.
Wide receiver Santonio Holmes was receiving treatment on a tight back during practice Wednesday after being sidelined since Aug. 4 with a rib injury. Coach Rex Ryan says ''it's possible'' Holmes could also miss the rest of the preseason, ''but I don't think that will be the case.''
Po'uha has not practiced since Aug. 1, when he needed about six stitches to close a cut on his forehead. His back started acting up on him after that, and he went to New York to have an MRI exam that revealed no damage.
