Getting the nod over Chris Paul, Williams shot 7-of-8 from the field (including 5-for-6 from beyond the arc) for a team-high 19 points and added five assists in just over 19 minutes of court time.
Carmelo Anthony, who was “benched” in favor of Kevin Durant, also scored 19 and added four assists of his own, while Russell Westbrook had 16 points and a game-high nine dimes.
In all, six players reached double figures for Team USA, which led by 18 at halftime and outscored the Britons 34-18 in the third to put the game out of reach.
Chicago Bulls star Luol Deng led the way for Great Britain, scoring a game-high 25 and adding four rebounds and four assists. Former George Washington University star Pops Mensah-Bonsu had 12 points and a game-high nine boards, and Andrew Sullivan went 3-for-3 from three-point land en route to an 11-point performance.
Team USA is now 3-0 in Olympic tune-ups, and they now head to Barcelona for games against Argentina (Sunday) and Spain (Tuesday) before opening Olympic play against France on Sunday, July 29.
