Yankees sign two more 2012 draftees
College baseball insider Kendall Rogers Tweeted late Friday afternoon that the Yankees came to terms with their 26th-round pick, University of Maryland pitcher Charlie Haslup, and Scout.com's K. Levine-Flandrup later reported that the team had also signed their 36th-rounder, California high school catcher Dalton Smith.
The Yankees had until the MLB deadline of 5 p.m. Friday to sign their remaining picks. With the additions of Hensley, Haslup, and Smith, the team appears to have inked 27 of their 41 selections, including all of their Top 20 choices; the highest draftee to go unsigned was Mikey Reynolds, a shortstop from Texas A&M University who was chosen in the 20th round with the No. 637 overall pick.
