NEW YORK (AP) -- The Brooklyn Nets have signed second-round pick Tyshawn Taylor from Kansas.
The Nets acquired the point guard's rights in exchange for cash in a draft-night trade with Portland, bringing the Hoboken, N.J., native back to his home area.
The 6-foot-3 Taylor averaged career bests of 16.6 points and 4.8 assists as a senior last season, leading the Jayhawks to the national championship game.
Terms of the deal announced Friday were not disclosed.
