Report: Nets agree with Mirza Teletovic
07/03/2012 2:02 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets have reached a verbal agreement with Croatian star Mirza Teletovic on a three-year deal, according to a Tweet by Howard Beck of the New York Times.
The agreement would see the Nets sign the 26-year-old forward to a three-year, $15.675 million contract, using their full mid-level exception for this season – which means that they cannot have their total payroll exceed $74 million.
The 6-foot-9 Teletovic averaged 22 points and six rebounds per game for Caja Laboral in the Euroleague last season, and reached a 2 million euro buyout with the club in June to be able to make the jump to the NBA.
