
Granderson not bothered by 'chickens' quip

“I got no problem with what he has to say,” Granderson said during an appearance on WFAN’s Joe & Evan Show late Friday morning. “We’re all competitors, and you should be confident that you have the ability to go out there and perform, that his team is going to win. He should be able to go out there and pretty much say anything he wants.”
The Yankees have won seven of their last eight against the Mets, including a three-game sweep at Yankee Stadium two weeks ago – a result that gives at least one other Met serious motivation to play well this weekend, according to the Post.
“I don’t like not beating a team in a season, so it’s our chance to get a ‘W’ off them,” Mets first baseman Ike Davis said.
The second half of the 2012 Subway Series kicks off Friday night at Citi Field.
