• YES viewers caught the origins of "Linsanity" on January 12, 2007, when the network televised the first of two Harvard men's basketball games featuring current Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin, who had 12 points in a 77-71 win over Dartmouth that day; on February 9, 2008, Lin had seven points in a 71-51 loss to Brown, also televised on YES

• Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz hosted YES' Yankees on Deck show during the 2006 season

• Star singer and actress Hillary Duff appeared in 10 episodes of Yankees on Deck in 2004

• YES Magazine co-host Peter Ward sat down for an interview with First Lady Laura Bush in the White House in 2005

• Michael Phelps (2003) and Apollo Ohno (2003) were both subjects of the YES Network magazine show before they each achieved Olympic super-hero status

• Current Yankees Robinson Cano (while with the Trenton Thunder in 2004) and Brett Gardner (while with the Staten Island Yankees in 2005) were featured on YES' minor league telecasts prior to their hitting the big time in the Bronx

• In 2004, YES Magazine co-host Peter Ward traveled to Iraq to conduct an interview with the Iraqi National Tennis Team, which was preparing for its first Davis Cup competition

• Both Al Leiter and original YES announcer Fred Hickman visited the White House to participate in the annual T-Ball events there

• Current Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick showed his form at a young age on YES when the network televised Fitzpatrick's Harvard Crimson vs. Columbia in November 2004 as part of YES' Ivy League football package.

• 2009 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Brian Cushing provided a glimpse what was to come when he led Bergen Catholic High School (N.J.) against Don Bosco Prep (N.J.) in a game televised by YES on December 1, 2003

• YES' 1st HD Yankees telecast, on July 1, 2004, happened to be the game in which Derek Jeter famously dove into the 3rd-base stands for a foul ball against the Red Sox

• LeBron James scored 52 points in a Primetime Shootout (Trenton, N.J.) game televised by YES, on February 8, 2003

• YES' live telecast of the February 7, 2004 Primetime Shootout game between Lincoln (New York City) and Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy featured Sebastian Telfair for Lincoln and Dwight Howard for Atlanta Christian Academy

• Also at the 2004 Primetime Shootout, Rajon Rondo and Josh Smith led Oak Hill Academy (Va.) against Kyle Lowry and Cardinal Dougherty (Philadelphia)

• YES deploys as many cameras during its regular season Yankees telecasts as national networks deploy during MLB post-season telecasts.
