SEATTLE -- The New York Yankees have added infielder Juan Miranda to their roster, giving them another left-handed bat for the final couple of weeks.

Miranda joined the team in Seattle and was in uniform for Friday night's series opener against the Mariners.

Miranda hit .290 with 19 homers and 82 RBIs this season for Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre. He played in five games last year for the Yankees, getting four hits in 10 at-bats.
