Keith Byars

Keith Byars, one of the preeminent NFL fullbacks of this era, is in his fourth year on the panel of YES Network's flagship football program, "This Week In Football."

Prior to the YES Network, Keith played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and New York Jets. Keith began his career with the Eagles in 1986 as their first round draft choice. He later retired with the Eagles with numerous records, including his 1998-2000 status as the NFL all-time leader in receptions by a running back, eclipsing Marcus Allen's previous record of 587 receptions. This record was later surpassed by Larry Centers in 2000 making Keith second all-time. He is also the only back in NFL history to record a reception in 100 or more straight games. Prior to the NFL, Keith attended Ohio State University where he is the second-leading rusher and scorer in school history.

Keith and his wife, Margaret, have two children, Taylor Renae (4/19/92) and Keith Allan II (10/21/94). Keith was named Humanitarian of the Year by the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association and earned a 1991 community service award from the Big Brothers and Sisters of Philadelphia. He also hosts a free football camp in his hometown Dayton, Ohio.
